Pillows for Pointe toe pads?
Do you suggest the gel toe/lamb's wool or the reversible gel/cloth toe pads (both by Pillows for Pointe) for beginners?
I would stay away form the gels or gel tips. Use the lambs curl in the small if you can or the medium or just the loose lambs wool. Using the gel tips keep you further from feeling the floor. You may find that you may not even need that much padding. Wait until your fitting and when you buy your pointe shoes, you will get pads then or lambs wool if you need it. It depends also on how your shoe fits what pads if any you need. The lambs wool alone might end up serving you better.
@Ballerinagirl- I really find it hard to believe that any competent dance teacher would tell a student that feeling the floor en point is pointless. If you cannot feel the floor you have less control. Too much padding is dangerous because it is like trying to dance on a false foot. If your teacher really said that, I would seriously consider looking for a new teacher.
