Has anyone ever seen a Satchel Paige autographed baseball bat?
I have in my possession an 8" mini baseball bat, signed by Satchel Paige, authenticated by PSA/DNA. Stamped on the bat is the H&B Louisville Slugger brand, along with "25th Union Leader Baseball Dinner - 1973", with a Leo E Cloutier stamped signature. I did some research and know that Satchel Paige was at that dinner. I just don't have any kind of reference for the value of it! The little bat itself is fairly rare I believe, and I know that single signed baseballs go up into the thousand of dollars. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.
NO ONE here can give you any value outside guesses (mostly bad). I can tell you it's NOT worth 10,000 or any five figures that you will get by some of the illiterate 16 year olds who respond to all these questions - however, I would guess you're correct in it being worth into the thousands - my educated guess would be $2000-3000 and that's a safe estimate in this climate. In a better economy, maybe more. I hope you're not looking to sell it.
