What do the Indianapolis Colts have to do to beat the New England Patriots Sunday Night?
I know it will be tough. Being at home gives us the advantage but the Patriots are a great football team and I don't expect it to be easy. It's just a game I really want to win and hope to win.
BQ: What are the chances the Colts win?
I think the key to winning against the Patriots is defense. The Colts have the offense, but when it comes to the Patriots good defense is always the key. Whenever teams have disrupted Tom Brady and his high powered offense its been difficult for them to mount a good lead and even win games. When you look at the two losses they have this year, the Patriots lost to, two defensive teams which were the Jets and Broncos. In those two games Brady was under pressure and Brady's receivers were not available for major yardage. I think the Colts have to do what the Jets and Broncos did. That is take away the receivers (Moss, Welker) and harass Tom Brady. Anytime you put a QB under pressure they make mistakes. We know the offense for the Colts can score because they have Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne, along with Peyton Manning playing nearly flawless. But the test is about defense. If the Colts can play hard defense like they have been all season, and limit the amount of points the Patriots score, I think they can win. I think the Colts have a chance but only if Tom Brady doesn't get in the rhythm. Take away his receivers and he has nothing. The other key, shutting down the run game. If they can do that, they can force Brady to throw which means potential mistakes as long as the Colts sack or get in the face of Brady. It will be tough but I don't see why the Colts can't win also seeing as this is a home game for the Colts.
