Is it legal for police officers to park in handicap spots without the license/permit on the mirror or tag?
Get this. 3 police officers came to my house today to get my money for a ticket that I received for parking in a handicap spot in front of my apartment complex, right as they left -- they came back to get my picture in front of my apartment number, and as i looked I noticed the officer parked in the exact same handicap stop. Is it legal for them to park there? Or could I have something against them?
Yes emergency vehicles while on duty are allowed to park in handicapped spots. If a police officer, ambulance, firetruck is at an apartment complex and the closest parking spot is handicapped they can park there. I choose not to when i run into the store while on duty since i don't want the pubic getting a bad vibe. I just have my partner drive to the fire lane and pick me up if something happens to save time. If we both run in to a store we will park as close as possible.
