What is your favorite Dallas Cowboy memory?
good or bad we are in a divsion full of haters so I was expecting some good answers.
I have many great memories of the Cowboys, but there is one that I will never forget. After Tom Landry got fired, the City of Dallas hosted a Tom Landry appreciation day, with guest speakers , a parade, all that good stuff. I was standing outside of City Hall listening to all the speeches about how great a man he was. Not just a great football coach, but a great man. Finally, it was Tom's turn to speak. He spoke of football and life in Dallas, etc., but there was one thing he said that I will always remember. He said, "I may never coach another professional football game, but if I ever see you walking down the street, I'll darn sure shake your hand." It don't get any better than that. There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd.
EDIT: My second favorite memory was being at Texas Stadium when Tom Landry was inducted into the Ring of Honor. When they dropped the veil and revealed the Fedora, the crowd went crazy! It was a great day!
