LADIES- what do you like to read in romance novels?
i'm writing a few; one is about an army of vampires after the french revolution who fight another army of vampires while killing zombies and making love to werewolves and humans
the second; is about a white elephant hunter in 1862 who falls in love with an african girl, but has to leave her to kill a rouge elephant in german colonial grasslands. lots of shooting and lions and even an elephant grave yard!
so the question is- what do you like seeing in a romance novel? what are your favorite parts?
Phantom of the Opera = best romance/love triangle
I love to read those parts that just make butterflies in your stomach. When Christine stripped the phantoms mask away while he didn't see her coming up from behind, the phantom went into a cursing frenzy but subsided saying that he did not wish to look like a monster and dreams of beauty. Classic butterfly ooey gooey AHHHH i have to read more until i finish the entire BOOK!!!! example 
You should read Phantom by Susan Kay. It takes you through the past of the phantom and the course of his life all the way from his tragic birth to the love triangle at the Paris Operahouse. Kay is a masterful writer, very inspirational in aspired writers. She even inspires me!!! I read that book in 3 days it was soooo good!!
