How do I get wax off my polyester jersey?
I spilled wax on the back of my jersey. There are little black stains on my blue polyester soccer jersey now. They look as though someone dropped oil on the shirt and it dried. I ran it through the wash once after soaking it in Spray 'n Wash for about 1 hour. I used warm water for the wash and air dried it. The stains are still there...there is one particularly BIG one on the lower back, its very annoying. Its a navy blue polyester sports jersey.
For the wax use an warm iron and wax paper or brown paper bag. Put the paper over the wax and place the iron over the paper. The iron will melt the wax and the paper will absorb it. You will have to do this about 5 or so times until all the wax comes out.
