Removing one light from a strand of Christmas lights?
I have a pre-lit Christmas tree and the top section is out. I have found the faulty light and have tried to replace the bulb, but the strand still has not lit. I have figured out that it is the light itself, not the bulb that is faulty. Can I remove the faulty light from the strand and simply tie the wires together and cap them? Thanks for any advice.
In short: Sure.
Remove the light, and tie the wires together. Should be no problem. You're only taking the light w/ the faulty connection out of the circuit.
The only thing that sucks is those wires are so darn small. And, maybe you can find some green electrical tape to blend it in? lol.
The real mystery here is why, after all the progress we've made as people, do they still make those one bulb/light goes out - they all go out sections. Sheesh!
