Have you ever had a dangerous experience with a Microwave?
I've badly burned myself with hot gravy that didn't look hot, I put my had near it and it was cool to the touch, but then I poked it with a fork and it splatttered on my wrist, with serious reprocussions. Ouch!
I've also seen eggs explode, and just plain water explode, and recently i've had a strange experience with BBQ sauce! that seems to go ATOMIC really fast.
You also have to be careful with any kind of jelly filled pastries! it's totally un even heating, the pastry is cool, or unaffected, but the jelly filling is atomic hot, in like 8 seconds!
Is there a dangerous experience that you have had with a microwave?
They always say not to put aluminum foil in, but i've done it, and have seen it done in restaurants as a chef, it's really no big deal? what's the worst that could happen? a few sparks?
I reheated an Arby's roast beef sandwich in the foil wrapping, and didn't think anything would happen. FLAMES went up in the microwave. Fortunately I was standing there, turned it off & pulled the sandwich out, & no damage was done.
